I was thinking these days how we could revitalize the game a little, and make it a bit more competitive. Because many people complain that the disposition of rare resources in certain countries would create an advantage, especially for countries with many regions, I decided to come with the following proposal to the admin and the community.
Dividing the regions in an equally number for each country is technically impossible, and from my point of view it is not a solution, but we could change the current way of calculating the bonus based on the types of resources in a country.
Current approach
For a country to get 100% bonus for a resource type (food, weapons, ships, houses) it needs to have 5 different regions of that type.
Example for 100% food => requires one region of grain, deer, fish, cattle, fruits with +20% contribution each
That's make the countries that get a rare resource in the core regions have a considerable advantage over the rest.
Proposal
Instead having a region for each type, the country should hold 5 regions of same type.
Example for 100% food => 5xgrain or 5xdeer or 5xfish or 5xcattle or 5xfruits (the +20% contribution is maintain)
If let say Romania has 3xgrain and 2xdeer regions the food bonus will be 60% because it will count the bonus given by the resource type with higher bonus (in this case grain).
This means the 20 resources types need to be distributed fairly worldwide (in the 594 regions), around 29-30 of each.
So this proposal comes with more combat and will make the game more dynamic. Also strategically, the game will be more complex because there will be a multitude of combinations that can be made to obtain the desired bonus.
I'm ready for a feedback or other proposals.

Additional proposals that will impact country productivity:
1. Core regions reset should happen every 4 months
2. Resources reshuffle should happen every 2 months

Seems reasonable. I would like to see this one.
Humulus with this back to core restart which will be every 2 months there is bigger need for fairer number of core regions each country can have. First thing to solve is that, so we don't find USA, China etc stocking and defending with ds-s while others spend to get regions to still have smaller bonus then some of previously named countries. After that your ides for bonuses would be good thing to implement based on reformed regions

The proposed version is much better than the current version. Point! The game will definitely become much more dynamic than it is now!
Yes every second time map restart is okay but every time it doesn't have sense. Or every 3 months complete restart
Well, this is how the full bonus country must conquer the whole world to become full
Not good, this will kill small countries, big ones will conquer all their regions to make a small bonus
That would be fair if all countries have the same number of regions. But it is not the case. Example: The USA would have an almost free bonus while countries like Brazil or Argentina would not. In fact, what should be reviewed is the number of regions that do not adjust what happens in RL. Again, example USA and Canada, or Russia, either of these two are larger and have fewer regions.
