To the competent authorities in Spain
We sincerely and with deep awareness express our deep concern about the current situation and the continuing escalation of the armed conflict that our country is witnessing. We feel deep pain for all the human losses and suffering our people are subjected to due to this conflict.
We, regardless of our horizons, positions, and affiliations, believe that dialogue and understanding are the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the country. We stress that a ceasefire is the essential step to enable this dialogue and reach peaceful solutions to the ongoing conflicts.
Therefore, we urgently and frankly call on all parties involved in the conflict to overcome their differences and move towards an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire.
We trust in the ability of our good people and their wise leadership to achieve peace and prosperity, and we hope that our hopes will be fulfilled and that we will assume the integrity and responsibility to act wisely and correctly.
Let us all cooperate to build a better future
